How does equipment become accredited?
The process of accreditation includes a review of the equipment by the IFI Equipment Panel and testing of the equipment by disabled users with a range of impairments. Feedback from both the disabled users and the Panel are fed back to the equipment suppliers for adjustments to be made. Equipment may undergo several changes before it is given IFI accredited status. The key to the accreditation of equipment is to benefit both disabled and non-disabled users by making it easier to use and more accessible for everyone.
