IFI equipment-standards

At the foot of this page is a link to the IFI Equipment Standards - Stage Two that fitness equipment must comply with in order to receive IFI Accreditation. These standards will remain applicable until 30 September 2010.

These Standards have been developed in conjunction with industry experts, user and supplier feedback, and desktop research. The overriding aim has been to keep disabled people and their needs at the centre of the development process. This approach has ensured a balance between the needs of disabled users and the fitness industry equipment manufacturers in the design requirements.

Any IFI accredited products previously accredited under Stage One Standards will no longer be recognised as accredited if purchased after 1st October 2007.

If purchased before 1st October 2007, it will be recognised as accredited for a period of 5 years.
