The Inclusive Fitness Initiative is launching an Inclusive Fitness Week between Thursday 24th April – Wednesday 30th April 2008.
The six day event is designed to bring together all Inclusive Fitness Facilities to provide an even greater focus on activities for disabled people. In addition, Inclusive Fitness Week will be a vehicle to raise awareness of the Inclusive Fitness Initiative.
There are three strands:
- Regional and local events and activities
- A national programme of PR raising awareness of inclusive physical activity and the opportunities available for disabled people
- A high level meeting between key stakeholders seeking to map out a sustainable future for the inclusive fitness agenda
Chris Easton, IFI Inclusive Activator and Marketing Manager, explains,
“This is an exciting opportunity for IFI accredited facilities to celebrate the hard work that goes into their accreditation. Regional Inclusive Activators across England have been working with facilities to promote this event which is open to everyone who wishes to participate in inclusive physical activity”.
Regional and local events will take place across the country during the six days and more information can be found on the IFI website – www.inclusivefitness.org.
