This final event for the IFI 2009/2010 calendar will focus on the business case for inclusion, asking the question ‘are you making the most of being inclusive?’ and providing you with access to practical advice and solutions.
This is guaranteed to be yet another great opportunity to access advice and support from both the Inclusive Fitness Initiative and a variety of key industry speakers.
As always, these events are based on a first come, first served basis as numbers are limited, it is therefore essential to return your registration forms as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Quids In-clusive: Maximising the commercial development of an inclusive fitness facility is the title for the final IFI seminar for 2009/2010.
Rob Thurston from Cybex will start the day, explaining why installing inclusive fitness equipment is both important and makes commercial sense as well as highlighting some of the key features of fitness equipment that makes it more inclusive for a wider range of users. Guidance will also be available as to how to effectively tender for inclusive fitness equipment.
The IFI Team will be providing an informed presentation into the commercial viability of inclusive fitness, addressing the question of whether inclusion is nice or necessity! Find out how to get involved with the IFI and what the benefits of IFI Mark Accreditation are including how it can and has been used by facilities to apply for other funding streams. The IFI team will be sharing their knowledge of what current funding opportunities are available and how to get started. There will be an additional presentation at the London event following the announcement of IFI London, Manager Alex Gibbons will be discussing the specific funding opportunities available and how to get involved.
Michael McElhatton from Wheelpower (the national organisation and registered charity for wheelchair sport in the UK) will provide an insight into the business case for inclusion and the benefits of providing a facility that is inclusive. Stoke Mandeville is a great case study which will be used to highlight how facilities can be developed and the partnerships that can be created with individuals and organisations along the way.
Richard Millard and Sarah Leonie from DC Leisure will be attending the London event to discuss why inclusion is important to them as an award winning leisure operator, their commitment to IFI and to highlight what they have achieved within their facilities whilst in the North East, Patrick Bonner from English Federation of Disability Sport (North East) will be talking about inclusive fitness and future opportunities in the North.
