The Pemberton Leisure and Conference Centre in Rushden, East Northamptonshire has been an IFI accredited facility since 2005. For the last two years, the community have been benefiting from increased accessibility into and around the centre, fitness equipment that meets the needs of disabled and non-disabled people like and staff that have the necessary skills in order to provide a safe, effective and fun workout for everybody.
Recognising the value that this facility has already brought to the community, The Pemberton Centre are once again opening their doors to encourage more people to get active and to experience the benefits of using their IFI Accredited facility.
On Saturday 9th February 2008, the Pemberton Centre in Rushden is holding a free inclusive taster day with the hope of attracting as many people as possible to sample a variety of activities including the accredited IFI fitness equipment and sports such as Boccia, Archery, Trampoling, Kurling, Table Tennis and more. The centre would especially like to welcome those who are currently not participating in any form of physical activity for one reason or another but would like to have a try, activities are for all ability levels and we welcome groups and individuals.
In addition to the activities, there will be representation from the Inclusive Fitness Initiative for those of you who would like to know more about what it means to have access to an accredited facility within your area.
