Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) Level 1 Staff Training Course – NSF Sites
The Level 1 course in Disability Equality aims to equip staff with the confidence and knowledge to effectively cater for disabled users.
For those who have obtained funding through the National Sports Foundation programme, Level 1 Courses are currently provided free of charge. At the first site visit the IFI Project Coordinator agrees the number of courses to be held at each facility depending on the number of staff employed there. The IFI Project Administrator is then responsible for liaising with each Applicant Facility and the Training Provider to identify mutually convenient dates for the delivery of the agreed number of courses at the Applicant Facility.
Level 1 Courses are one-day Courses usually delivered at the Applicant Facility. Should no suitable room be available on-site an alternative venue may be agreed with the Project Administrator.
Applicant facilities will be required to liaise with site staff to ensure their attendance and that as many staff as possible attends the Level 1 Course.
Facilities must ensure that a minimum of 12 (unless by prior agreement) and maximum of 24 employees are present on each Level 1 Course provided at their facility.
Course Requirements
Following agreement on the dates for the Level 1 Course the facility will be required to:
· Book a suitable wheelchair accessible room
· Provide a complete course register
· Provide flip chart stand, flip chart paper, Laptop, LCD Projector and screen or OHP, DVD Player, TV, Pens and pencils.
Cancellation Charges
The Applicant Facility must put any cancellation in writing to the IFI office. The following cancellation fees will be due if a confirmed Course is cancelled by the Applicant Facility for each and every course.
· 50% of the value of the Course if within 14 working days of any course (£250 + VAT)
· 100% of the value of the Course if within 7 working days of any course (£500 + VAT)
· Failure to ensure that a minimum of 12 candidates attend the Course, EFDS OC reserves the right to charge 100% of the value of the Course.
Individual Bookings
Individuals who are staff members at Applicant Facilities or approved IFI Sites funded through the National Sports Foundation programme are able to book onto Level 1 courses that have spaces remaining at no charge to them as long as the Applicant Facility agrees.

Please be advised that you will be contacted no later than 1 week before the course to confirm your booking.
It is essential that you complete the course registration form and return it to the IFI office asap before the first date of the course as we will have to operate on a first come first serve basis. This can be done by post to the IFI office address on the Form, or by email. If returning the form by email, a signature is not required. Your signature will be sought during the course.
