The Level 2 course is essential in order to fully partake in the Level 3 and to gain enough information to be able to effectively programme exercise for disabled people.
To attend the Level 3 course both of the following pre-requisite qualifications are required.

'Equivalent' REFERS TO AN equivalent qualification accepted by REPs (e.g. a qualification taken prior to VRQs or one taken abroad). It is the candidate's responsibility to provide evidence of their pre-requisite. Neither the IFI nor YMCAfit can enter into negotiations with other training providers or awarding bodies on the candidate's behalf.
It is preferable that the pre-requisite Level 3 Advanced Fitness Instructor qualification should have been completed prior to attending the Course. However, if you have not achieved the minimum pre-requisite qualification criteria in advance of the Course:
- You may complete the Course, complete the pre-requisite qualification at a later date and then arrange an assessment for this Course after achieving the pre-requisite.
