Chamberlayne enters a 'New Age'

Monday 25th February 2008

Southamptons IFI Accredited Chamberlayne Leisure Centre hosted the launch of New Aged Kurling on the 7th of January.

Competitors were invited along for a fun-filled hour to try their hand at the exclusive sport of New Aged Kurling. Based on the Winter Olympic sport of Curling, which takes place on ice, this version allows particpants to play the game indoors.

Participants from Southampton Day Services were amongst those taking part in the free launch session and organiser Jon Randall commented,

'Its terrific to see such a great attendance for the new session, its a great way to get active and to meet new people.'

The session has a weekly slot each Monday from 1pm - 2pm at Chamberlayne with a £2 booking charge per attendee. The supervised class is open to all age groups and if you would like to take part, or find out any further information about New Aged Kurling, please contact Chamberlayne Leisure Centre on 02380 437 668.
